Swapped a failing chain opener for a quiet belt-drive unit with new safety sensors and remotes.
The problem
An old chain-drive opener was loud enough to hear through the house, reversed at random and had a remote that only worked up close.
What we did
- Checked the door's balance first to make sure the door itself wasn't the problem.
- Removed the old chain-drive opener and rail.
- Installed a quiet belt-drive opener with new photo-eye safety sensors.
- Programmed new remotes and the homeowner's car, then tested auto-reverse.
The result
A much quieter opener that closes reliably every time, with remotes that work from the street.
