A remote that won't open the door, a keypad that stopped responding or a lost clicker is frustrating, especially when you're sitting in the driveway. Often the fix is simple: a battery, a reset or reprogramming the remote to the opener.
When it isn't, we replace and program remotes and wireless keypads, sync your car's built-in opener, and check whether the problem is actually in the opener itself. If your opener is old enough that new remotes aren't compatible, we'll explain your options, including a new opener.

Common remote & keypad problems
Remote or keypad won't respond
Usually a dead battery, lost programming or a remote that isn't compatible with the opener's frequency.
Short range or works only up close
Often a weak battery, a damaged antenna on the opener, or interference from nearby devices and LED bulbs.
Wall button works but remote doesn't
A good sign the opener is fine and the problem is in the remote, keypad or receiver.
Signs you need a new remote or keypad
Try a fresh battery first. If that doesn't help, call us when:
- The remote works only sometimesWorn buttons or a failing circuit board inside the remote.
- You have to be right next to the doorRange problems that a new battery didn't fix.
- The keypad buttons are worn or unresponsiveSun and weather wear out exterior keypads over time.
- You lost a remote or moved into a new homeClear the old codes so previous owners' remotes can't open the door.
- Your car's button won't syncSome openers need a bridge or a newer remote to pair with cars.
Safety first. If you've lost a remote or moved into a home with unknown remotes, clear the opener's memory so old remotes can't open your garage.
