Replaced worn rollers with quiet sealed-bearing rollers to cut noise and wear.
The problem
Worn steel rollers made the door grind and shake as it moved, and a couple of rollers had cracked wheels.
What we did
- Checked the tracks for bends and loose brackets.
- Replaced the full set of rollers with sealed-bearing nylon rollers.
- Replaced two worn hinges that held the roller stems.
- Lubricated and tested the door through several cycles.
The result
The door now glides quietly, with far less vibration on the opener.
